Each will play the required "Set Piece", and some or all of their other prepared selections. Depending on the total number of partipants, the competition rounds will continue as such each evening as needed. On Friday, four finalists will perform in front of all campers, guests and the adjudicators at a 7pm performance. Awards will be announced after the closing Ensemble Performance later that same evening.. |
| 6. HOW TO "ENROLL" |

| Solo/Ensemble Ratings (All Ages) |
| This year, we extend the offer of the opportunity to play, either solo or in an ensemble (hence the name), in order to receive a rating of I, II or III (plus adjudicator's written comments) to all participants REGARDLESS of age. So even if a participant is of an age to enter the Solo Competition, they might choose this "lesser stress" option. The cost for participating is $25/soloist. Ensembles pay $25 for the first member, and $15 for each additional member (for example, a duo would be $40, a trio $55). All participants will receive a written critique of their performance along with tips for advancement, and a certificate (or certificates, if an ensemble) from MAGC 2008 showing their rating. Those students wishing to participate in Solo/Ensemble should check the appropiate box on the Registration Form, and include the appropriate fees. |
