| Kirk Hanser (camp director) has been heard throughout the U.S., Europe and Japan performing most western styles of music. Kirkis half of camp ensemble-in-residence, the Hanser-McClellan Guitar Duo, a multi-award winning director and instructor with the Childbloom Guitar Program of St. Louis, the exec. director of the St. Louis Academy for Guitar, college professor of both guitar and audio production, author and performing/recording artist. Kirk will be all over the place with his duties as camp director, and is the coordinator of this year's Solo/Ensemble adjudications and the prestigious MAGC Solo Guitar Competition. contact Kirk |
| John McClellan has performed in the U.S., South America, Europe and Australia. He performed recently with Luciano Pavarati during his last world tour, and has recorded with such musical "luminaries" as Vince Gill, Tommy Emmanuel, Jorge Morel and Mark Knopfler. John is professor of guitar at Webster University, and half of the Hanser-McClellan Duo. | Laura Hanser (Chief Counselor) is a veteran camp councilor and former Waldorf elementary school teacher - and mother of four, ages 5 to 17. Laura's duties include planning and organizing certain non-guitar events during the week, and directing the duties of our other counselors, both parent and faculty. contact Laura |

| Kevin Taylor first wanted to play guitar when he saw Elvis Presley. His is Founder of the Childbloom Guitar Program for kids. Called "the guru of the pre-teen set", he has published over 300 articles on the subject of music education and parenting the young musician. He has taught and performed in a wide range of venues - from in front of the baboon cage at the San Antonio Zoo to the stage of the London Royal Ballet. Mr. Taylor has taught young people for 29 years. This summer for MAGC, he will teach and conduct ensemble classes and master classes as well as a NEW PRIMARY COURSE for 2009, "Creating Music" for young musicians. contact Kevin |

| Award-winning fingerstyle jazz guitar virtuoso and recording artist Tim Thompson from Nashville, TN joins MAGC this year as our special guest artist. Tim will be working with the kids in many and varied ways, including Home Recording class and tips on performing and the music business in general. Tim will join ensemble-in-residence the Hanser-McClellan Duo and the top MAGC guitar ensemble in a special, mid-week off-campus performance! |
