MAGC 2007

What a great camp this year!  Anything that could have gone right, seemed to go right.  The weather, the food, the guitar playing...it really was a terrific experience for all of us.  Thanks again to all of the teachers, parents and participants last July.

Mid-week, we were honored by a visit and master class by legendary guitarist and composer Jorge Morel. Several of the participants were able to play for Maestro Morel, even after the class had ended!

Mark, who took second prize in this year's Solo Guitar Competition, had the opportunity to play for Jorge.

We were never at a loss for things to do in our free time.  If parts were already learned, it seemed there was always a pickup game, swim or canoeing going on.

OK, in time I hope to organize thoughts - and pictures - much better, and have something of a "scrapbook" on MAGC 2007 online.  (Please check back!)

I'm in the process of going through all of the pictures, video and audio I collected; it's a lot, but I'd love more (especially video!).  If you have some you can share with me, please send it to me at the address on the contact page.  Thanks!  In the meantime, here are three clips (~60 sec. each) performed by Kevin Taylor's ensemble at the closing night performance:
